THE STORY OF THE RAVE IS PLENTIFUL. YOU CAN FIND BOOKS, MOVIES, AND OTHER ELEMENTS ACROSS THE WEB. THE GOAL OF OUR PARTICULAR PROJECT IS TO CREATE A NARRATIVE OF COLORADO RAVE HISTORY. RAVERS AROUND THE WORLD BUILT ELECTRONIC MUSIC INTO THE MAINSTREAM POWERHOUSE IT IS TODAY, BUT IN THE EARLY DAYS OF THE CULTURE; THE COLORADO RAVE COMMUNITY SAT AT A CROSSROADS IN THE COUNTRY BETWEEN EAST COAST AND WEST COAST. AS DJS CAME TO DENVER AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES WE DEVELOPED AN INFLUENCE ON THE CULTURE. AS A COMMUNITY WE WERE BIG ENOUGH TO CREATE SOME NOISE, BUT SMALL ENOUGH WE HAD TO STICK TOGETHER. OUR GOAL IS TO DOCUMENT THESE EVENTS THROUGH THE LENS OF WHAT HAPPENED IN COLORADO BY CREATING TAGGED GALLERIES OF FLYERS, AND OTHER ELEMENTS OF THE CULTURE, DYNAMIC MUSIC LIBRARIES SPECIFYING TYPES AND TIME FRAMES IN MUSICAL INFLUENCE OR GENRE, AND EXPLORING OUR CULTURE AND TRENDS; INCLUDING THE INFLUENCE OF EARLY INTERNET TECHNOLOGIES, FASHION, AND OUR INFLUENCE IN RELATION TO THE MUSIC, TECHNOLOGY, ECONOMY, AND REACTION.

We're doing this because we believe in the early rave movement and we believe it should be properly documented. If you want to join us we'd love to hear from you!

The Underground Network was established in 1998 to serve as a conduit to bring the dance music communities together in the online space.  May this project serve as a continuance of togetherness while supporting the independent element of our culture while we develop this project outside of homogenized social media.

“Your Favorite Artist was once a local artist. Don't wait until they blow up to start supporting"
